SCOTUS ruled that  states can require members of the Electoral College to cast their votes for the presidential candidates they had pledged to support.. To "vindicated voters expectations". What world are the Justices living in? Where do politicians meet voters expectations?

Admiral, stand up.

Take down statues of traitors, of  politicians who were outrageous in their life. Change names or flags. But Columbus? he lived 500 years ago and never set foot in continental North America. A courageous sailor who believed in scientific advances. Bet his life on it. Is this stupidity or lack of understanding of history?

Books of America

Have always been surprised that when visiting people at their home, I don't see books. No, this obsevation is not about the people I visit. Go in a furniture store and ask for a bookshelf.   In the old country, where freedom of speech was scarce, displaying books was a must. Yes, it was for show, but also this was where some truth could be found. Here is an amusing discussion. Of course, one should start by buying a book. And maybe one should turn to books in this age of faked media.
